Schedules:

1.) What would you have liked to know before you applied for your classes?

2.) Was there a easier way you found out later how to get your schedule done?

3.) Is it better to sign up early or just when ever?

Anything you want to add?

(1)     First quarter, I wish I had known anything about classes! Its hard to filter through the course catalogue and find things that interest you, but that's what I recommend. Look through all of the courses being offered in the areas you're interested in, and try some things out. Also be aware of general requirements that you need to graduate. You don't need to know what you're going to major in your first year. Just take what interests you, try new things out, and eventually it will help you decide that.

(3)     University of Washington has restrictions on when you can sign up. Upper class students register first, freshmen getting last pick. Registration opens at 6 AM, and I always woke up at 5:55 to do it because things fill up really quickly

(4)     Don't worry too much about your first quarter. A lot of people end up taking classes and finding out about the good ones through word of mouth. So by the second quarter or semester you'll have a good idea of which classes are hard/easy or interesting and it will make things seem a lot more coherent and easier to decide.
