Dorm Rooms: What would you have liked to know about them? Room with freind? Bunk bed? Single? Corner the best? Noisy?

um...I don't know what corner the best means.

It is highly unlikely that you will be living in a single your freshman year. You will most likely have at least one roommate. Whether or not you get to choose your roommate depends on your school. It's good to keep in mind that your best friend might actually be your worst roommate. It's not just a matter of spending too much time with them. Getting along with your roommate also requires having similar sleep schedules and cleaning habits.

What can you tell us from experience?

what? about what?

Schedules: What would you have liked to know before you applied? Was there a easier way you found out later how to get your schedule done? Better early or just when ever? (applying to classes)

There are no hard and fast rules or generalizations that can be made about making your class schedule. Worry about getting accepted to your school first! The guidelines for choosing classes varies widely from school to school. A lot of schools make you decide the term before and register on a first-come, first-served basis. Other schools allow you to wait until you get to campus and then give you a week to 'shop around' to see what classes you'd enjoy. You can look into it, but this is not important thing to consider unless you are choosing between schools that have already accepted you.

Tips about picking colleges: Anything? Apply early? Apply just when it says to? What would you recommend from experience?

Applying early can be a huge headache and it also usually is binding - that means you are required to attend the school if you are accepted. If you are 100% sure that you want to attend and can get your application in on time, applying early can raise your chances of being accepted. Make sure to pay attention to deadlines. Colleges don't have time to consider late applications, and now that things are online it's often impossible to submit a late application anyway. Don't wait till the last minute unless you want to be really stressed all December.

As far as picking colleges, pay attention to its size and where the college is located. Will you get stressed out if you live in the city, or bored if you are in the middle of nowhere? Do you mind if your class has 5000 members, or would you prefer to get to know most people on your campus?

I wish i had a pony...

What do you wish you would have known, or (about) or just information you wished you could have had. Did you do things the hard way unknowingly? And find out later if you would have looked you could have circumnavigated a certain class or professor or such? Anything you want to add?

Circumnavigated a class or professor? Is this about applying to college or about college in general? there is a lot that can be said about this, but it's really nothing you should be thinking about until after you get to campus your freshman year - and then it depends on the school.
